I continued to delve into Barack Obama’s latest speech which was a pinnochioesque portrayal of how the government healthcare bill offered by the Democrats will help us to live happily ever after. An inconvenient fact is Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security are all virtually insolvent, coupled with our country being on the brink of bankruptcy as we are swimming upstream into $14 trillion dollars of red ink because of decades of gross mismanagement by our elected officials. To see an endless parade of Democrats trying to convince us that their socialized healthcare plan will ensure 30 million plus more Americans and cut the deficit or at least be deficit neutral defies even the most fertile imagination. The legendary Jack Nicholson in “As good as it gets” was confronted by a lady at his home and uttered a line that would be appropo in dealing with these delusional Democrats; “Sell crazy someplace else because we’re all full up here.” before slamming the door in her face. Barack Obama: The genius of our founders is that they designed a system of government that can be changed. And we should take heart, because we’ve changed the country before. In the face of tyranny, a band of patriots brought an Empire to its knees. In the face of secession, we unified a nation and set the captives free. In the face of Depression, we put people back to work and lifted million out of poverty. We welcomed immigrants to our shores, we opened railroads to the west, we landed a man on the moon, and we heard a King’s call to let justice roll down like water, and righteousness like a mighty stream.

I don’t believe that President Obama likes the founders of the United States of America as he was quoted as saying that the Constitution was “a bunch of negative rights” that talks about what the government can’t do to its citizens. Obama views the Constitution as an impediment to his Marxist-Socialist vision for America, just like his fellow Democrats who always talk about a “living Constitution” that can be changed. Many Americans like myself believe that the Constitution should be revered and protected, rather than being shredded and trampled upon by pathetic liberal hacks. Obama mentions the Great Depression where his inspiration, the Father of Socialism in America, that being Franklin Delano Roosevelt who fervently believed in government growing at a prodigious rate, and laying the groundwork for a dependency society. Roosevelt’s strategy exacerbated the Great Depression with his radical policies including a 14% unemployment rate years into his Administration. Conversely, it was World War II that ignited our economy. I’m going to give FDR kudos for at least being unequivocally committed to defeating our enemies, coupled with being inspirational with exhortations “The only thing that we have to fear, is fear itself.” FDR wouldn’t bow to our enemies; he wouldn’t apologize for all of our supposed shortcomings around the globe like Obama did either. Maybe Obama is trying to set us up for the next Great Depression so he can emulate his hero with an FDR strategy on steroids. (WD)

Barack Obama: All of us know what those challenges are today-a war with no end, a dependence on oil that threatens our future, schools where too many children aren’t learning, and families struggling paycheck to paycheck, despite working as hard as they can. We know the challenges. We’ve heard them. We’ve talked about them for years.

Mr. President, I thought that you were going to end these wars through the strength of your magnetic personality. And, didn’t you say that all we had to do was properly inflate our tires to solve all of our energy woes. We are energy dependent precisely because of leftists like yourself working in tandem with environmentalist wackos to stop us from drilling for our own oil off of our coasts, it was your ilk that prevented us from collecting billions of gallons of oil in ANWR (Arctic National Wildlife Refuge), and the Obama Administration and his jack*** accomplices are putting up more roadblocks against extracting bountiful shale deposits that would stop our dependency upon foreign oil. And, more Americans are living paycheck to paycheck because of ill fated decisions on the stimulus bill and policies that ensure that a robust economy will not happen on your watch. We need to sweep all of the Democrats out of office and have some adult leadership sooner than ASAP.

The Republicans are still getting bludgeoned by many Conservatives that have been squawking about forming a third party, which is a life line for Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and President Obama. Like or not, we are a two-party country, and to enter even “Tea Party” candidates in general elections is a suicidal mission as Conservatives will just split the vote handing over more unfettered power for the Democrats to rule over America with an iron fist. These Democrats are loaded for bear and would love nothing more than to punish the disobedient peasants (us) if given the opportunity. Ronald Reagan talked about a revitalized second party (Republicans), and the GOP has almost univerally opposed “Cap & Trade”, Socialized Medicine, the stimulus bill and much more. Did they screw up in the past? Absolutely. But, the time to self police RINO’s and wimpy Republicans is during the primary season. Moreover, the Republicans are close to a Contract or Covenant with America reminiscent of the 1994 “Contract with America” that will hold themselves accountable. America is going to have to give the Republican Party big majorities in 2010 or we can really roll up our sleeves when Obama is defeated. We need everybody; conservatives, moderates and even disenfranchised liberal voters to kick these socialist authoritarians to the curb. (WD)

Barack Obama: We’ve made some progress already. I was proud to help lead the fight in Congress that led to the most sweeping ethics reform since Watergate.

I have to admit that I nearly died from laughter when I heard Obama talk about cleaning up Washington D.C. There is literally a “Who’s Who of disgraced Democrats; these rogues include Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi who talked “about draining the swamp”, even if Charlie Rangel finally stepped down after years of flouting House rules. We had already chronicled a partial roster of the voluminous list of Democrat shenanigans and corruption in recent articles. Now the Democrats are trying to have Governor Paterson in New York to resign to stop the bleeding for the donkeys.
