Democrat “Culture of Corruption” roller coaster (Part II)
In our last exciting saga of Democrat corruption we primarily covered the scourge of Illinois politics. But, the liberals are prolific at shenanigans, hijinks and criminal activity in all 50 states so lets move to the great Empire State of New York. On Friday, Governor Paterson declared that he would not seek another four-year term citing distractions and assuring New Yorkers that he had never abused his office, despite a criminal investigation pending against the handling of an abuse charge that was bought by a woman against one of Paterson’s inner circle. “It hasn’t been the latest distraction. It’s been an accumulation of obstacles that have obfuscated me from bringing my message to the public.”, said Paterson. How about being the latest liberal politician to run a once great state into the ground with the failed strategy of deficit spending, coupled with escalating, punitive taxes that cause the achievers to flee New York to states that don’t fleece them with effective 60% tax burdens? The history of tax cutting President including John Kennedy, Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush has increased revenues to the treasury as it unleashes entreprenuers to invest, create and generate leading to robust economic prosperity.
If you recall Governor Paterson had suceeded former Governor Eliot Spitzer who was infamously known as “Client number 9″ that loved to frequently visit high priced prostitutes even though he posed as a law and order politician. Interestingly, Paterson had admitted to previously being a swinger before taking over for Eliot Spitzer, which seemed be be totally inappropriate, especially after Spitzer was New York’s version of President Clinton. Paterson was at least honest on one front by castigating the Obama Administration’s failed stimulus bill that didn’t help New Yorkers at all. And, outgoing Senator Evan Bayh said that there hadn’t been one job generated in the last six months from Washington D.C. so the outgoing troops are being honest in categorizing Democratic policies as counterproductive.
In the Ripley “Believe it or not” files, there is a politician that is as arrogant as President Obama, that being Congressmen Charles Rangel (D) New York. Rangel has been dogged by ethics scandals for years, but as part of the Who’s Who of Democratic corruption where double standards are standard operating procedure he has escaped responsiblity. Only Republican misteps are investigated, since liberals always excuse themselves from personal responsibility for anything because they don’t claim to have any moral compass. The one exception was political hack extraordinaire Nancy Pelosi who promised the most ethical Congress in history, that would serve with integrity and bipartisanship when she seized the Speaker of the House role, which should have been accompanied by a laugh track.
Rangel is refusing to resign as Chairman of the powerful House Ways and Means Committee, coupled with his Chairman post in the House tax-writing committee, although Rangel was rebuked by an ethics panel for accepting corporate sponsored trips to the Caribbean. This was after his aides had repeatedly attempted to show him that these trips were a violation of Congressional gift rules. Rangel did what any self respecting liberal would do; he blamed his staff! Rangel also is under investigation for tax evasion on a rental property in the Dominican Republic where he “forgot” to disclose this income as well as rental properties in New York City. Naturally, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has been supportive of Rangel running interference, just like she did for William Jefferson (D) Louisiana who was affectionately called “cold cash Jefferson” since he had $90,000 worth of money given to him by an FBI informant hidden in his freezer before being sentenced to 13 years in prison for also accepting nearly $500,000 in bribes! Pelosi didn’t ask Jefferson to step down either, which shows her hypocrisy and contempt for the rule of law, especially if one of her Democratic teammates like Rangel can be facing multiple ethics charges and continues to keep his plum committee positions.

Don’t you just wonder about the people in their districts that continue to vote for these corrupt politicians? I did not used to care as I was so ignorant to believe it was “their” problem. It is in fact, a problem for all of us. You described very well how my, and many others ,ignorance has caused this culture of corruption.
We do have ourselves to blame! However,I have hope that the ,astroturf, idiotic ,redneck ,racist Tea Party folks can help us get back to some ethical, moral and my favorite, common sense approaches to electing our leaders.
The last ten years have been a real eye opener for me and apparently for a great number of other folks too.
It is kind of mind boggling that we continue to send seriously flawed politicians back to office. Some ethically challenged Representatives like Charles Rangel and Nancy Pelosi are immune to any standards or common decency as the voters keep pulling the lever for them. I think Americans are finally starting to get it after the “Cornhusker Kickback” and the “Louisiana Purchase” that it isn’t just about their politicians bringing “home the bacon” for their districts, but that we are all in this together now as the Federal Government has put us all in a precarious position. The power of incumbency is difficult to overcome, although the mid-term election of 2010 could signal a mass exodus of naughty and power hungry incumbent Democrats to be replaced ultimately by the “Tea Party” candidates.

What do you mean by content leakers? Thanks for looking out for us too.
You have tested it and writing form your personal experience or you find some information online?
Unfortunately, we have experienced the shenanigans and corrupt hijinks of the Democrats in living technicolor. We are fixing to boot them out of office though!
I didn’t understand the concluding part of your article, could you please explain it more?
Whitney Houston is an amazing singer; I hope that she has cleared up some of the issues in her life and will continue to delight world wide audiences with her gift.
In terms of your question, the Democratic leadership has a despicable double standard where they act outraged at the littlest violation from the other side of the aisle, while they excuse incredibly corrupt liberal Democrats like Charlie Rangel and Harry Reid, and Barack Obama who have engaged in misdemeanors and felonies.
