Big Government = Big Problem
It seems like it was yesterday that President Bill Clinton out of political necessity declared “The era of big government is over”. Clinton didn’t have any ephiphany or change of heart in his liberal core beliefs, but the 1994 Republican takeover of the House and the Senate convinced him to change course. President Clinton was pragmatic enough to realize the status quo wouldn’t enable him to maintain residence at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. It was stellar advice from political strategist Dick Morris that he would need to moderate or move to the middle via “Triangulation” if he was to win reelection in 1996. In a brief sidebar issue, I don’t understand why Republicans don’t retain the services of Mr. Morris because he is brilliant. I know he had human failings in the past, but he is the best in the business, and he would be invaluable in our efforts to defeat Democrats. His wife has also forgiven him, plus they collaborate on many New York Times bestseller books. Back to the present, Obama has shifted gears to the “Era of big government is job 1″. According to Stephen Dinan of the Washington Times, “The era of big government has returned with a veangance in the form of the largest Federal work force in modern history.”
Federal workers in 1981 to 2008 comprised on average 1.1 to 1.2 million workers. Obama has jumped that number to an unsustainable 2.15 million Federal Workers in 2010 and 2.11 million for 2011. I’m not indicting all of the Federal Workers, although there is no reason why we need an additional one million Federal Workers that make on average a $71,000 salary versus the private sector work force only making $40,000 in comparison. There are some fabulous people in the Federal workforce, but I’m sure their hands are tied by bureaucratic regulations and counterproductive dictates created by Congress. Case in point, the Department of Energy was founded during the Carter Presidency to lessen our dependence on foreign oil. The Department of Energy scored a 65 billion dollar budget in 2010, plus they employ tens of thousands of Federal Workers. They are charged with energy policy and nuclear safety. Now I understand the need for nuclear safety, but this could be shifted to the Pentagon or some of the workers could be retained in different agencies. The Department of Energy’s mission to lessen our dependence on foreign oil has been an utter failure as our percentage of foreign oil imports has steadily increased over the last few decades. I bring this point up because we could easily slash one million Federal Workers in this country to reduce our unsustainable debt ratio. Au contraire, the Democrat Party wants us to look like Eastern Europe where the people are wards of the state, and the ruling elite can control the peasants with an iron fist.
President Obama is the consummate ideologue, that was rooting ferociously for the Despots to win in Honduras. Fortunately, for humanity and Honduras the more moderate government beat back the tyrannical forces. Why does Obama feel so comfortable around evil thugs like Hugo Chavez of Venezeula or the brutal Castro Brothers? This is the type of government that he secretly wishes that he could impose on America, sans the genocide. I’ll qualify that because if we get socialized medicine passed than tens of thousands of American citizens will die needlessly. Moreover, Obama ruled twice against the “Born Alive Infant Protection Act” during his Illinois Congressional stint where medical personnel couldn’t help babies born alive during botched abortion procedures. The babies were reportedly left to linger for hours as Doctors and Nurses were left powerless to help them. Obama may have a winning smile, but don’t buy it as he is not a compassionate person. This is why I find it hard to fathom that Americans still somewhat like Obama, despite them losing confidence in his ability to lead the country.

This article has various top notch strategies, they have really helped me
It’s so maddening that the liberals are still advocating for ever growing government when the case studies clearly point to tax cuts and smaller government as the key to prosperity. President Ronald Reagan created 21 million jobs during his eight years of leading us out of the President Jimmy Carter wilderness.
I never, ever would have believed I would be required to be familiar with this, but thank goodness for the web, right?
I enjoyed your website with links and articles of women in politics. I’m really praying that Sharron Angle beats Harry Reid in Nevada as he is the poster boy for term limits. I recently posted an article about strong Republican women candidates that seem ready to make a difference.
