Elephants Unite on the road to victory

We talked about stepping up and becoming active in the political process in order to wrest our country back from Marxist-Socialist forces. I did my part by submitting a Letter to the Editor in the Harrisburg Patriot news that will be published this week, although they had to size it for space considerations. I was reading the Sunday edition and didn’t want the Obama talking points to go unchallenged so I get involved. The Republicans and their Conservative supporters need to unite in the next few election cycles working together to win the hearts and minds of the voters who were snookered in 2006 and 2008. We have to outwork the liberals while presenting a positive vision, instead of relying on America’s disgust with the Democrats this past year.

Dear Letter to the Editor:

I enjoyed the Sunday Patriot-News article by David Wenner, but I felt compelled to respond to Obama supporters and apologists that were interviewed. President Obama’s first year in office was reminiscent of the sinking of the Titanic, as his popularity and his agenda of socialism has capsized on an inceberg of reality. Clearly, the historical and monumental Scott Brown victory over Martha Coakley in Massachusett’s special election for the “People’s Seat” was a game changer because it dramatically changes the dynamics of Congress, plus it was a repudiation of the “Obamacrats” leftist lurch.

I would like to respond to Shirley Yate’s assertion when she said, “With all of these things he inherited, I think he has done a great job,” with a few facts of those alleged soup kitchen years during the Bush-Cheney years; unemployment in 2006 was at a tidy 4.5%, the Stock Market soared to an all time high in the summer of 2007, coupled with the Gross Domestic Product in the United States of America nearly tripling any other country in the world. It’s true that we have been enduring a recession, since the latter stages of 2007, but that was precipitated by the Democrats cover-up of the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac’s financial debacle, which ignited the economic meltdown.

Let’s roll the tape to the first year of the Obama Administration where over four million people have been “pinkslipped”, despite the 1.2 trillion dollar stimulus bill with the interest. Those four million plus jobs lost was higher than any of the Bush years wih an effective unemployment rate of over 17% in the United States of America when factoring in underemployed workers or people that have given up looking for work. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics the unemployment rate is still in double digits currently at 10%, which is twice as high as 2006, while Obama “inherited” less than 7% unemployment.

“It’s so obvious the agenda of the opposition is to prevent him from accomplishing anything.” said Robert Ford. Mr. Ford needs a reality check as the Republicans were helpless to stop any of the Democrats initiatives in 2009 as they had a fillibuster proof Senate, and enjoyed a huge majority in the House of Representatives so they could have enacted any legislation that they decided to pass. The agenda imploded because Americans led by the “Tea Party” revolt had enough of government growing exponentially with haughty liberals ignoring the will of the people.

The “Blame Bush” strategy that the liberals are employing will only backfire on them as Americans want real leadership, devoid of whining and finger pointing. Bush didn’t quadruple deficit spending either in 2009, where our children and grandchildren will become unwilling indentured servants of the government either. I have an idea; let’s put all government proceedings in 2010 on C-SPAN!
